 national hubs executive (fixed term contract. application details/procedure: the national hubs network project will help create an ecosystem from the existing 100+ hubs identified in the aec region, the 220+ hubs based outside the aec, and accommodate broadband connection point (bcp) and libraries that offer space (desks, meeting room, coworking space, event space etc.) to the communities they serve. this project will promote, market and showcase the profile of the hubs both within the communities they are located in and beyond. the hubs will be promoted as a key infrastructure asset for communities, employers and employees. the creation of a hub network presents an opportunity for both rural and urban communities. these hubs act as enterprise centres, innovations spaces, co-working & hot-desking locations, and are an important part of the support system for early stage rurally-based companies and entrepreneurs to grow and develop.  the creation of this network will capitalise on previous government funding and result in thriving, vibrant hub community. the western development commission has been awarded the responsibility for leading the implementation and delivery of the national hubs network.   reporting to the hubs programme manager, the data & gis analyst is responsible for actively contributing to the effective delivery and management of the national hubs network. key responsibilities will include: - developing collaborative and productive working relationships with hubs and other stakeholders to deliver on the national hubs strategy. - promoting and developing a culture of innovation, collaboration and entrepreneurship across the hub communities. - engaging hubs to adopt the new national hubs technology solution and booking system. - creating and delivering marketing and communications programmes, etc. the full range of responsibilities, duties and requirements for this position are set out in the job posting on:  https://westerndevelopment.ie/about/vacancies/ this post is a full time, fixed term 3 year contract with a six month probationary period. the wdc head office is in ballaghaderreen, co. roscommon. wdc staff are also located in galway and sligo.  as this role has a national remit, the successful incumbent may be based remotely in accordance with the wdc remote working policy. closing date for receipt of applications:  strictly 12 noon on monday, 8th march 2021. the western development commission is an equal opportunities employer.  canvassing will disqualify.  shortlisting may apply.  late applications will not be accepted. closing date: 08/03/2021 12pm. please note that this advertisement is being hosted by the public appointments service on publicjobs.ie. the public appointments service has no involvement in, or responsibility for, the recruitment and selection process or the terms and conditions which relate to this post.
