What you need to know. You will work as a Facilities Engineer and will work for our medical device client based in Co. Galway. This is a permanent position reporting to the Facilities/Engineering Manager with excellent career progression opportunities. Salary and package is negotiable for right candidate. Your new job. Key duties & responsibilities. Troubleshooting of all facilities equipment and systems including HVAC, Compressed Gas, Electrical Distribution, RO Water, Building Management Systems. Co-ordinate maintenance of the factory building and production plant service including preventative maintenance and upgrading of facility equipment and services. Ensure that PM procedures are drafted and executed to schedule and that critical spares are. Responsible for in-house cleaning service and grounds maintenance. Ensure that all Facilities meet GMP requirements and monitor and maintenance of cleanrooms and building management systems. Set up calibration system and on-site lab/contract labs as required. Assist in the planning and execution of Plant, office and Production layouts and in the set-up infrastructure and services for R&D & Manufacturing areas. Assist in the planning and execution of Plant, office and Production layouts and in the set-up. Coordinate Facilities related on-site and visiting contractors, ensuring effectiveness and efficiency. Plan and ensure monthly budget accuracy. Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of facilities operations. Maintain a healthy and safe work environment in line with policies and procedures. Health and Safety awareness ensuring current best practice is maintained. What are we looking for? Desirable: BEng in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. 3-5 years’ experience in facilities or related role ideally within the medical device sector or regulated manufacturing environment. Knowledge of plant systems in medical devices or pharmaceutical sector. Strong Systematic troubleshooting/problem solving skills. Experience in Cleanroom, systems and software validation experience. Experience preparing SOPs and experience conducting validations (IQ, OQ, PQ. Analytical approach to problem solving and managed multiple projects simultaneously.
